Many international companies come to the Festival to show their achievements from diverse disciplines, such as: theatre, stand-up comedy, one-man shows, poetry, dance, Visual Vernacular (VV), etc.
Each spectacle is presented in its original language. Some of them are also bilingual, which allows access to the hearing public.
International artists often come from distant places to demonstrate their talent at the Festival: photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, crafts, etc.
These artistic and professional exhibitions are free and are located at the Grande Nef, on the 1st floor of the Congress center.
Public opening hours:
- Thursday: from 2 pm to 6 pm
- Friday and Saturday: from 9 am to 6 pm
- Sunday: from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Traditionally, we organize a film competition where the 6 awards are the best: film, deaf director, actress, actor, animation film 3D and film directed by a young person.
These awards will be given by a jury of film professionals at the official ceremony on Saturday 8th July 2017, at the Comédie.
Street theatre moved at the «Village Clin d’Oeil» created for the occasion in the same place as the Deaf Party: on the Parking of Stade Delaune!
Also included in the program: magic, juggling, dance and many other animations!
The Festival has become a true platform for professional and artistic exchanges as well as an arts market. It was therefore obvious to enjoy the presence of so many people to organize meetings in the form of conferences, round tables and seminars.
Few people know or can even imagine that deaf people are capable of producing music and feeling it. Yet, concerts at the « Deaf Party » represent deaf and hearing-impaired musicians and dancers.
