The Canterville Ghost

SHOW WITH INTERNATIONAL SIGN

A heartfelt ghost comedy for the whole family.

The Canterville Ghost is not just any old phantom. She has, as one might politely say, “a big personality,” and from a technical perspective she is a world‑unique 3D‑animated live avatar. This allows her to interact with the intruders in the manor house, both in International Sign and spoken Swedish.

But scaring off the newly arrived family turns out to be very difficult. They aren’t afraid of anything! And it only gets worse. Could it be that this ancient ghost actually has something to learn from these very much alive people – about human phenomena like love and togetherness? Horrifying!

Don’t miss this heartfelt ghost comedy for the whole family, created by Riksteatern Crea and based on Oscar Wilde’s humorous novella. The script is written by Jenny Schöldt Olsén, and the production is directed by Joel Kankkonen and Lars Otterstedt. The family is played by Johan Kankkonen, Mette Marqvardsen, and Robert Fransson, while the ghost is animated live by Jamila Ouahid.

With : Jamila Ouahid, Robert Fransson, Johan Kankkonen & Mette Marqvardsen
Directing : Joel Kankkonen & Lars Otterstedt

Duration : 75 min
